Kicky Pants Baby Romper Review!

Hello my fellow savvy readers! We have added a wonderful new addition to the Real Reviews family, our mommy blogger MamaKae&BabyA! This is just one of the many product reviews from her to come so please read all about her and her amazing review of Kicky Pants, a unique and savvy children’s clothing store!

Ok, so here we go, I’ve finally got some free time and a house full of peace and quiet.

Hi, I’m Kaela, or for the FUN world of blogging, call me MamaKae&BabyA. I’ve been sitting here for the past hour and a half trying to figure out how to introduce myself, and then I finally decided.. Just do it already. What’s the big deal? So here I am. I’m a mother to a beautiful baby girl, Addilyn Jade, and a military wife to my handsome husband and best friend, troy. I’m 22 years young and taking life one step at a time, making plenty of mistakes along the way. But eh, who hasn’t?  Any who, enough about me…

I’ve been given this awesome opportunity to work alongside a dear, old, friend of mine, savvy K as many of you may know her. We’ve been through it all! Although this world has continuously tried to tear us apart, we’ve always managed to end back up together. It’s destiny I suppose. She got me this gig to review an awesome product and their company, Kicky Pants.

Who could not love a product with such a spunky name, Kicky Pants? The company was created in 2007 by Erin Cloke, who was placed on bed rest while pregnant with her second son. With plenty of time on her hands and inspiration from her children, she wanted to create a line that would “celebrate innocence” with fashionable, unrestrictive and comfortable designs. As well as, eco-friendly fabrics such as bamboo aimed towards baby’s delicate skins.

“The Kicky Pants blend is the only one of its kind. It is 95% bamboo viscose and 5% Lyrca, giving it more natural softness than any other bamboo line. It has just enough stretch/ give to make it easy to pull over baby’s head. “

I don’t know about you but I find it so annoying to try to stretch the tiny little head holes on most clothing over my daughter’s big ol’ noggin. She screams and cries because she would rather just crawl around the house naked than have me force stiff, cotton, clothing over her head. This was not the case with this cute, flowered jumper they provided me. She sat there quietly with her cute two-toothed, gummy smile and helped me “throw” her arms and head through the stretchy holes. Were my eyes and ears deceiving me? Was putting clothes on my child actually a pleasant experience? I also loved the fact that the product only contained snaps, located at the bottom for changing diapers or getting child undressed. Her nana tends to buy her clothing with actual buttons, and to be honest it is a pain in my behind, especially when she is squirming all over the place!

So I’m not going to lie and say that im one of those moms who is all earth friendly, and I must have organic this and chemical free that, because well I’m not. Although, I do think it’s awesome for those people who are all green and are always super motivated to improve our earth. I’m just not one of those people yet. I feel like it’s so expensive, and well I’m CHEAP!! But as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Kicky pants products are fairly priced and range anywhere from $10-$50, for rompers and onesies to full-blown outfit sets. I’m one of those mom’s who shops the clearance racks, but to be honest their clothing is so soft and comfy I would spend the extra money.

Like I said earlier, im not one of those eco-friendly moms, but I love the fact that Kicky Pants product is made of bamboo. According to a fact sheet I got along with my package, “bamboo grows quickly it is among the fastest growing plants in the world, reaching close to full height in about 100 days in the right weather conditions”. How awesome is that? “Bamboo fiber is completely biodegradable, meaning the special Kicky Pants blend is as close to nature as possible.” Unlike the disposable diapers I use. And last but not least, bamboo can be naturally soft and silky without additional chemical processing (the process used to create fabric for Kicky Pants is 100% natural and organic), making it the perfect match for baby’s delicate skin”

I’ve already washed and dried the product; it’s still soft and super comfortable as ever. All in all this is a great product and I would recommend it to any of my mommy or mommy-to-be friends. A+. The clothing felt so personal and heartfelt, like it was made because someone really wanted to make a difference, not just a quick buck. Cheers to Erin and her husband for such a grand design.  Go give their website a look.

Until next time, MamaKae&BabyA are off to play in our Kicky Pants outfit. Have a wonderful day.
